My Artwork

I am a contemporary figurative painter and the concept of identity is the foundation of my work. We spend so much of our lives crafting how we present our individual identities based on how we want others to perceive us.

As a painter, I explore transparency by overlaying multiple transparent layers of paint, revealing the process underneath and celebrating my mistakes. I believe that our mistakes are an important aspect of our past and help to define our identity and craft our future evolution. 

I interrogate who we are as individuals, who am I, why and where did I come from. Viewing myself with honesty, although confronting, helps me to understand who I am, and who I wish to be.
